Byron Stewart is a seasoned board member with a wealth of experience in cyber security and complex computer networking, bringing a robust background in operations, strategy, etc. He holds many cyber security and network industry certifications, which provide him with a solid foundation in securing data assets and computer network infrastructures.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Byron has excelled including building a very successful value-added reseller and network integrator. During his tenure at StormWood Technologies, he oversaw extensive growth and helped StormWood Technologies gain a world-class reputation in the networking and VoIP space. After 15 years of ownership, he was able to sell StormWood Technologies to CNP Technologies, where he carried out his contractual obligation for the next 5 years. He later joined Fortinet where he continues to be an avid evangelist in protecting his customers from cyber criminals.
Byron’s business acumen extends to bridging relationships needed to grow financial funding. This proficiency has been invaluable in guiding the Restoring American Liberty Forum toward sustainable growth and impactful initiatives.
In addition to his board responsibilities, Byron actively participates in several civic organizations including Advisory Board Chairman for the Republican Women of Forsyth County, Precinct Chairman for the Forsyth County Republican Party, founding board member of a new Forsyth County Child Advocacy Center, and Secretary for the Heroes of the Forsyth County Sheriff. This hands-on involvement exemplifies his dedication to realizing the mission of the Restoring American Liberty Forum.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Byron is deeply committed to his wife of 29 years and 4 grown children. His commitment to community betterment extends beyond the boardroom, demonstrating his genuine desire to effect positive change.
